Meet Dr. Chris Chen

Christopher Chen, M.D. is a board-certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist who specializes in treating patients with electrical heart rhythm abnormalities.

Dr. Chen's Education

Originally from Texas, he earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Texas A&M University. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Chen continued his training in the Pacific Northwest, completing a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Oregon Health & Science University, where he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow. He went on to complete a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA’s Cardiac Arrhythmia Center, where he trained under world-renowned experts.

His advanced expertise includes catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation (radiofrequency, cryoablation, and pulsed field ablation), atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardias, and ventricular arrhythmias; Watchman left atrial appendage closure; treatment of premature ventricular contractions; and implantation of defibrillators and pacemakers—including cardiac resynchronization therapy, conduction system pacing, and lead-less pacemakers—as well as laser and mechanical lead extractions.

Throughout his training, Dr. Chen held multiple leadership roles and contributed to scholarly work, including national presentations and several peer-reviewed publications.
