Dr. Michael Dam’s Education

His academic journey is marked by outstanding achievements, beginning with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science from the renowned University of California Irvine (UCI) where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Dr. Dam then pursued his Medical Degree at the prestigious University of California San Diego (UCSD), solidifying a foundation of excellence in medical education.

Demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive training, Dr. Dam completed a rigorous internship at the UCLA/VA West LA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, where he developed his skills in internal medicine. His pursuit of excellence continued with a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Mt. Zion Medical Center, further enhancing his expertise in cardiovascular disease.

As a testament to his dedication in advancing cardiovascular care, Dr. Dam pursued and successfully completed an additional fellowship in Echocardiography at UCSF Medical Center.  This specialized training sets him apart as a physician with a nuanced understanding of the intricate aspects of cardiovascular imaging. He is proficient in transthoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and transesophageal echocardiography.
