Meet Dr. Chris Champion
Chris Champion, M.D., is a non-invasive cardiology expert with special proficiency in the management of complex Congestive Heart Failure. His career has spanned prominent institutions, including UTMB and MD Anderson, where he contributed to the development of the Cardio-Oncology program.
Dr. Chris Champion's Education
Dr. Champion earned his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He remained in Galveston to complete his internal medicine residency as well as his cardiology fellowship.
Dedication to Excellence
With a focus on heart failure and transplant, Dr. Champion served as Assistant Professor of Medicine in Heart Failure and Transplant at UTMB. His path later led him to MD Anderson MD Anderson at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, where he played a key role in establishing the Cardio-Oncology program before relocating to California.
Dr. Champion is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He is an expert in non-invasive cardiology and has advanced expertise in managing complex Congestive Heart Failure, ensuring patients receive the highest level of care.
