Anthony Chyou, M.D., is a highly respected cardiologist, board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. His expertise spans a range of advanced cardiovascular conditions, with a specialized focus on heart valve diseases that affect blood flow and overall heart function. He is

passionate about collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

Dr. Chyou earned his medical degree from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by a residency in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania’s Hospital (Penn Medicine) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He further honed his skills by completing dual fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, New York.

Dr. Chyou is also a proud member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). Throughout his training and career, he has garnered numerous honors and awards, including the Provost’s Undergraduate Research Award from John Hopkins University, the Golden Key National Honor Society, the William Walker Award, and Optum’s Core Value Award.

A strong advocate for patient education, Dr. Chyou empowers his patients to make informed health decisions by guiding them on maintaining regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and stress management into their daily routines.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Chyou values family time and enjoys cooking, running, and engaging in outdoor activities. Fluent in English and conversational in Mandarin, he is now welcoming new patients at PCA's adult cardiac clinic in Long Beach.
