Meet Dr. Khyati Pandya
Khyati Pandya, M.D., is a renowned pediatric and adult congenital electrophysiologist, board-certified in both pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease. Recognized for her exceptional expertise, Dr. Pandya specializes in performing advanced invasive electrophysiology (EP) procedures for children and adults with congenital heart disease. Her expertise includes radiofrequency and cryoablation for various arrhythmias and the implantation of loop recorders, pacemakers, and defibrillators. She holds a special interest in evaluating children with sudden arrhythmic death syndrome.
Dr. Khyati Pandya’s Education
Dr. Pandya earned her medical degree from K.J. Somaiya Medical College in Mumbai, India. She then trained in pediatrics at Grant Medical College in Mumbai, followed by cardiology training at Southern Railways Hospital in Chennai. After her training, she practiced cardiology at the prestigious JIPMER Institute in Pondicherry, India, before relocating to the United States in 2006.
In the U.S., Dr. Pandya completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at Michigan State University in Lansing, MI. She then pursued a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, and an additional year of specialized training in pediatric electrophysiology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.
Dedication to Excellence
Prior to joining PCA, Dr. Pandya served as the Director of Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia in Augusta, where she was an associate professor in the division of cardiology. There, she established and led a new pediatric electrophysiology program. Before this, she worked as a pediatric electrophysiologist at Batson Children’s Hospital, part of the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
Fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, and Tamil, Dr. Pandya is available to see patients at PCA’s clinics in Laguna Hills and Costa Mesa.
