Amar Chana
Dr. Chana completed his Medical Degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed his residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois; there he received the Excellence in Teaching Award (2005). He then completed his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he was elected chief cardiology fellow. Dr. Chana finished his Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Chana is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. He has published several articles in various cardiology publications and participated in multiple clinical investigations. He has also traveled to underserved areas in Bolivia, Spain, India & Haiti to provide cardiovascular care.

Cheng-Han Chen
Dr. Chen earned a bachelors and masters in materials science and engineering from MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He received his MD degree from University of San Diego (UCSD) and his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His internship, residency and fellowship were completed at UCLA. Dr. Chen went on to complete his interventional cardiology fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center-New York Presbyterian Hospital; There he received additional training on structural heart disease. While at Columbia, Dr. Chen was closely involved in major TAVR clinical trials. Dr. Chen has presented his research at major national and international conferences including AHA, ACC, and TCT, and has authored multiple manuscripts and book chapters on subjects including interventional cardiology and cardiac stem cells. Prior to joining PCA, Dr. Chen was on faculty at Columbia University Medical Center.
Additionally, as a medical device engineer for Medtronic, he played an important role in the development of the Endeavor and Resolute drug-eluting coronary stents.
Dr. Chen is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and adult echocardiography.

Chris Champion
Dr. Champion earned his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He remained in Galveston to complete his internal medicine residency as well as his cardiology fellowship. He served as Assistant Professor of Medicine in Heart Failure and Transplant while at UTMB. His career path eventually led him to MD Anderson at the Texas Medical Center in Houston where he aided in the development of the Cardio-Oncology program before moving to California.
Dr. Champion is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He is an expert in non-invasive cardiology and has special proficiency and advanced expertise in the management of complex Congestive Heart Failure.

Christopher Tan
Dr. Tan earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). After internship and residency training in the Department of Pediatrics at UCI and Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, he completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He subsequently completed advanced training in pediatric interventional cardiac catheterization at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Tan is board certified in pediatric cardiology. He has several publications in various cardiology journals and has participated in several research projects. His areas of clinical interest and expertise include pediatric and adult congenital interventional cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, hypertension, and lipid management.

David Weinberg
Dr. Weinberg attended UCLA for his undergraduate studies and then received his medical degree at the University of California, Davis. His internship and residency were completed at the University of Michigan Hospitals. He then went on to complete his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of California, Irvine (UCI).
Dr. Weinberg is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.

David Chun
Dr. Chun attended Pomona College in Claremont, California for his undergraduate studies, completing a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then moved on to the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in San Diego, California for Medical School.
After graduation, Dr. Chun completed both his internship and residency training in Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. In addition, Dr. Chun completed his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
George Konugres
Dr. Konugres received his Bachelor of Science degree from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He then continued his education at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, where he received his Doctorate in Osteopathy. Dr. Konugres completed his internship in internal medicine at JFK Memorial Hospital in Turnersville, New Jersey, followed by residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California. He then completed his fellowship in adult cardiology at Loma Linda University.
He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.

Hohai Van
Dr. Van earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He then obtained his medical degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Dr. Van completed his internship and residency at Stanford University and went on to complete his cardiology fellowship at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. It was there at UCLA that he was appointed chief fellow in the division of cardiology. He then returned to Stanford University to complete a fellowship training program in interventional cardiology.
Dr. Van is board certified in board certified on internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and nuclear cardiology. He has received numerous awards and distinctions from both his undergraduate and medical school institutions. Dr. Van has published several manuscripts and abstracts in various cardiology publications and has participated in several research projects.
He specializes in percutaneous interventions for coronary artery disease, structural and valvular heart disease, and peripheral vascular disease. In addition, Dr. Van performs coronary procedures via transfemoral and transradial approach.

Jessica Li
Dr. Li earned her medical degree from the Central University of Venezuela Medical School in Caracas, Venezuela. She then went on to complete her fellowship in cardiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, New York.
Dr. Li is board certified in cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology. Additionally, Dr. Li is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
She is a highly trained non-invasive cardiologist whose clinical interests include nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT angiogram (Level II), and echocardiography. Dr. Li is also fluent in Cantonese (native), Spanish.

Kenneth Wen
Dr. Wen completed his medical degree at the Northwestern University School of Medicine, in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his internship and residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York and went on to complete his cardiology fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Until his departure from New York, He was a clinical instructor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Wen is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology. He has expertise in all aspects of non-invasive cardiac testing with specific expertise in radionuclide stress testing, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. He is fluent in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English.

Lamia Dris
Dr. Dris earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Algiers School of Medicine in Algeria. She completed her internship for internal medicine at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Odessa, Texas; there she also served as chief resident. Her cardiology and electrophysiology fellowships were both completed at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, School of Medicine.
Dr. Dris is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear medicine, adult echocardiography and cardiac electrophysiology. She has published several articles in various cardiology publications. Dr. Dris is fluent in French and Arabic.

Michael Chan Dam
Dr. Dam earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science from University of California Irvine (UCI). He then completed his Medical Degree at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Dam completed his internship at the UCLA/VA West LA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He then finished his fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)- Mt. Zion Medical Center. Dr. Dam then completed an additional fellowship in Echocardiography at UCSF.
Dr. Dam is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.

Sinan Denny-Brown
Dr. Denny-Brown is a highly trained pediatric cardiologist who provides the utmost pediatric and fetal heart care. He guides families down the right path for common cardiovascular concerns such as a heart murmur, hole in the heart, chest pain, or a family member with heart disease, as well as for patients with complex congenital heart disease or those at risk of sudden death. Dr. D-B offers his expertise on not only diagnosing and treating heart disease early, but also how to prevent it, which he believes is especially important for the young patients he takes care of.
While he has been in the Los Angeles area for over 8 years now, he is originally from Virginia where he earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He then moved to California to train at one of the top children’s hospitals in the country – Children’s Hospital Los Angeles – where he completed his internship, residency, and pediatric cardiology fellowship.
Dr. D-B has extensive research experience through his work at Johns Hopkins Hospital, the National Institutes of Health, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and he is an author of multiple publications. He has also served as a reviewer for the peer-reviewed medical journal Pediatric Cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and Fetal Heart Society, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. D-B is fluent in Spanish and can care for his Spanish-speaking patients in their native tongue. He provides specialized care in all aspects of pediatric and adult congenital cardiology, with particular expertise in echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound), fetal cardiology, high blood pressure and cholesterol management, preventive cardiology, and cardiac critical care.
Pejman Giglou
Dr. Pejman Raeisi-Giglou received his medical degree at the University of Toronto where he graduated with honors and high distinction. He completed his medical training in New York City and completed his internal medicine residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Pejman Raeisi-Giglou earned numerous awards which included multiple best resident awards. Before pursuing his passion of becoming a cardiologist, he worked as a staff physician at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
After completion of his cardiovascular medicine training at Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Pejman Raeisi-Giglou completed an extra year of advanced cardiac imaging training at the Ohio State University and obtained the highest level of Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI training.
Dr. Pejman Raeisi-Giglou is quadruple board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, nuclear medicine and echocardiography. He is also board certified in cardiac MRI. He is skilled in all non-invasive and cardiac imaging modalities.
With all his medical professional accomplishments, Dr. Pejman Raeisi-Giglou has a passion for fitness training, soccer, traveling and cooking.

Salvatore Rosanio
Salvatore Rosanio earned his medical degree (summa cum laude) and completed his general Cardiology fellowship and Ph.D. in Cardio-Respiratory Pathophysiology at the Hospital Umberto I, La Sapienza University of Rome, School of Medicine, Italy. He finished his Internal Medicine-Cardiology Residency/Fellowship with Interventional emphasis at PGY-7 level at the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology of University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, TX. Rosanio is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation, with a strong past in Invasive Cardiology and comprehensive expertise in all fields of Cardiology.
Rosanio was a Clinician-Educator and Medical Director-1st Level at the Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Department San Raffaele Vita Salute University, Milan, Italy.
Rosanio was an H.H. Weinert Endowed Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Director of Electrophysiology Research at UTMB, in Galveston, TX. He also was a Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts (UMass), Worcester, MA and at University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC), Fort Worth, TX.
He authored and co-authored multiple manuscripts for top peer reviewed journals, such as NEJM, JAMA, Circulation and JACC, on topics including cardiovascular medicine, cardiac imaging, interventional cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology and pacing.
Rosanio is Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Member of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound. He received various awards to his name, one of which is Elected European Cardiologist by the European Board for the Specialty of Cardiology.

Scott W. Ard
Dr. Scott W. Ard received his medical degree at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his internship as well as his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Scott W. Ard earned his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the Ochsner clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana where he also served as chief fellow. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Scott W. Ard has 12 years of experience in invasive cardiology performing diagnostic left and right heart catheterization, permanent pacemaker implantations, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, and nuclear cardiovascular studies. He was also an Associate Professor of Medicine at Campbell University School of Medicine. Dr. Scott W. Ard spent time as a Battalion Surgeon under the US Army Special Forces command, serving both at home and overseas.
Dr. Scott W. Ard did extensive research on the CLOSURE 1 Trial: “a prospective, multicenter, randomized, controlled trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the STARFlex septal closure system” and The PROTECT AF (Watchman Left Atrial Appendage System for Embolic Protection in patients with Atrial Fibrillation) trial, among others.

Shamili Allam
Dr. Shamili Allam completed her bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering at the California Institute of Technology. She then received her medical degree at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Southern California. Dr. Shamili Allam earned her Cardiology Fellowship at the University of California, Davis. She is board certified in the National Board of Echocardiography; Nuclear Cardiology; Cardiovascular Computed Tomography; and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Shamili Allam is skilled in pacemaker implantation, diagnostic angiograms, echo (TTE +TEE), cardiac CT, nuclear cardiology, EKGs, and treadmill stress tests.
Dr. Shamili Allam trained primarily in a high- volume quaternary care referral center (UC Davis) and rotated through a small community hospital with limited clinical resources. She worked in a fellow-run program, leading teams of residents, interns, and medical students in various clinical rotations. Dr. Shamili Allam is comfortable in managing a variety of pathologies, ranging from low-risk NSTEMI to unstable cardiogenic shock requiring MCS. As a research associate, she developed chemical assays for next generation DNA sequencers, integrated various aspects of hardware sequencing platforms.
Dr. Shamili Allam is multi-lingual. Besides English, she speaks Spanish, conversational Tamil and conversational Telugu.

Stanley Kawanishi

Stanley Kawanishi, M.D., is a highly renowned cardiologist who specializes in invasive and interventional cardiology. Board-certified in both internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, he brings decades of knowledge and experience to his patients.
Dr. Kawanishi earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he was honored with his induction into the prestigious
Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. His additional medical training included an internship at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, a residency at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, and a fellowship at Long Beach VA Medical Center. Currently, he serves as the Cath Lab Director at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach.

Chris Pan

Chris Pan, M.D., has earned a remarkable reputation as an interventional cardiologist, known for his dedication to patient care and passion for advancing cardiovascular medicine. Triple board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and nuclear cardiology, he expertly diagnoses and treats heart conditions using both medical therapies and advanced catheter-based procedures, such as stents and balloons.
Dr. Pan’s journey in medicine began at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where he earned a combined bachelor's and master's degree in biology. He then continued his education at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA, where he obtained both his medical degree and an MBA, blending his clinical expertise with a strategic approach to healthcare. Dr. Pan completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at UC Irvine Medical Center, followed by fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology, where he served as chief fellow. His outstanding achievements were recognized with honors, including an award from the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Excellence in Cardiology Fellowship Award. After his training, Dr. Pan became an attending physician and associate fellowship program director at UC Irvine Medical Center before continuing his medical practice in Long Beach.
Known by his former colleagues at UCI as the "Energizer Bunny" for his sharp focus and boundless energy, Dr. Pan is deeply committed to educating his patients about heart disease and guiding them through lifestyle changes that promote long-term heart health. Even with a demanding practice, Dr. Pan stays active in academia, regularly delivering lectures to cardiology fellows and internal medicine residents.

Anthony Chyou

Dr. Chyou earned his medical degree from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by a residency in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania’s Hospital (Penn Medicine) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He further honed his skills by completing dual fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, New York.
Dr. Chyou is also a proud member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). Throughout his training and career, he has garnered numerous honors and awards, including the Provost’s Undergraduate Research Award from John Hopkins University, the Golden Key National Honor Society, the William Walker Award, and Optum’s Core Value Award.

Mimi graduated Cum Laude earning her bachelor’s degree in Nursing at Biola University. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degrees at Western University of Health Sciences and completed a Cardiology Specialty Program at Duke University.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she completed the Medical Annual Health Assessments on the geriatric population, completed physicals and sick visits for all ages including low-risk prenatal care. She was also an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner who provided quality service with walk-in patients of all ages regarding non-life-threatening illnesses and minor procedures.
