Meet Dr. Salvatore Rosanio

Salvatore Rosanio, M.D., F.A.C.C. is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and nuclear cardiology. Furthermore, he is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). He has comprehensive expertise and highly skilled in invasive cardiology and in all fields of cardiology.

Salvatore Rosanio’s Education

Dr. Rosanio earned his medical degree (summa cum laude) and completed his general cardiology fellowship and Ph.D. in cardio-respiratory pathophysiology at the Hospital Umberto I, La Sapienza University of Rome, School of Medicine, Italy. He completed his internal medicine training and cardiology residency/fellowship with an emphasis in interventional cardiology at PGY-7 level at the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology of University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, TX.

Dr. Rosanio was a Clinician-Educator and Medical Director-1st Level at the Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Department San Raffaele Vita Salute University, Milan, Italy.He also served as an H.H. Weinert Endowed Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Director of Electrophysiology Research at UTMB in Galveston, TX. Dr. Rosania was also a Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts (UMass), Worcester, MA, and at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth, TX.

He has authored and co-authored multiple manuscripts for top peer-reviewed journals, such as NEJM, JAMA, Circulation and JACC, on topics including cardiovascular medicine, cardiac imaging, interventional cardiology, cardiac electrophysiology, and pacing.Dr. Rosanio is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Member of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound. He has received various awards, including being chosen as an elected European Cardiologist by the European Board for the Specialty of Cardiology.Embarking on a journey fueled by a passion for healing, Dr. Rosanio has become a beacon of hope and a trusted partner in the pursuit of health and wellness in the field of cardiovascular disease.
