Janice Kim, RN, MSN, FNP-BC Manager, Clinical Services
Janice earned her A.S., Nursing at Southern College of SDA and B.S., Nursing at Southern Adventist University. She graduated at Loma Linda University with an M.S. in Family Nurse Practitioner. She is CPR and ACLS certified from the American Heart Association. She also earned her DEA certificate from the U.S. Department of Justice, Family Board Nurse Practitioner Certified-ANCC/ABNS. Janice came to PCA from Kaiser Permanente, Department of Cardiology.
She collaborated with the supervise electrophysiologist/cardiologist in the management of patients with all types of arrhythmias, implanted cardiac device, and CHF. She provided education and discharge instructions for patients with new cardiac implanted devices and device replacement surgery. Janice did pre-operative H&P and evaluation for patients undergoing cardiac implantable devices and device replacement surgery. Janice also did interrogation and program cardiac implantable devices in clinic and remotely online. She also collaborated with other specialties such as ICU team, surgeons, and ER in providing risk stratification and managing complicated patients with cardiac arrhythmias and cardiac implanted devices.
