AUSTIN N. ALICASTRO, DNP, BSN, RN

Austin completed her B.S. degree in Anthropology at UC Irvine; obtained her B.S. degree in Nursing at the Loma Linda University School of Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice-Adult-Gerontology also at the Loma Linda University School of Nursing.

Austin came from Loma Linda University Inpatient Cardiology and Internal Medicine as a Nurse Practitioner. She was involved in the management of acute care cardiac patients ranging from heart failure management, endocarditis, and electrophysiology events as well as the treatment, management, and evaluation of acute coronary syndromes. Austin monitored and assessed ED patients requiring admission for hospitalization. She managed patient’s s/p surgical procedures such as TAVR’s, Watchman’s, Nodal ablations, PFO closures, and other intermediate surgical procedure. She was also involved in LVAD and transplant work-up. Before joining Loma Linda University’s Inpatient Cardiology and Internal Medicine, she worked at Kaiser Permanente in their Oncology and Orthopedics Department.
