President's Letter

Margaret Leila Rasouli, MD
Dr. Rasouli is a native of Southern California. She received her bachelor's degree (B.S. in Biological Sciences and B.A. in French Literature) from the University of California, Irvine in 1994. During her college years, she was awarded the Rotary International Scholarship to Geneva Switzerland, where she studied at the University of Geneva and concurrently undertook an internship at the World Health Organization. She subsequently received her M.D. degree from UCI College of Medicine in 1998. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at UCI Medical Center in 2001. She subsequently completed her cardiology fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 2005 where she served as Chief Fellow in 2004-2005. Dr. Rasouli's research interests include cardiac CT angiography. She was awarded the Fourjay Foundation Cardiovascular Research grant of $50,000 during her cardiology fellowship. She also completed her subspecialty in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular interventions at Good Samaritan Hospital/Harbor UCLA Medical Center in 2006.
Dr. Rasouli's expertise ranges from nuclear cardiology, for which she is board certified, echocardiography (level II), cardiac CT angiography (level II), and peripheral and coronary interventions.
