George Konugres, MD

George Konugres, MD

Dr. Konugres attended UCLA, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Science in 1978.

He then continued his education at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, where he received his Doctorate in Osteopathy in 1981.

Dr. Konugres completed a rotating internship in Internal Medicine at JFK Memorial Hospital in Turnersville, New Jersey, followed by an Internal Medicine Residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California.

Dr. Konugres then completed an extensive three-year Adult Cardiology Fellowship at Loma Linda University from 1985 to 1988.

Dr. Konugres was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1987, and in Cardiovascular Disease in 1989.

Dr. Konugres has previously practiced cardiology in Los Angeles from 1988 to 1994, then relocated to Port St. Lucie, Florida. In 1999, Dr. Konugres relocated back to Southern California and joined Pacific Cardiovascular Associates, where he sees patients in the clinic setting at our Laguna Beach office.
