John Baker, MD, FACC, FSCAI

Dr. Baker completed pre-medical school at the University of Southern California, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Science. He then continued his medical education at the USC School of Medicine, where he received his Medical Degree.

Dr. Baker completed a one-year internship at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Santa Clara, California, where he specialized in Internal Medicine, followed by a three year Internal Medicine residency, with an additional year serving as Chief Resident at the USC Medical Center, in Los Angeles, California.

He then completed three years of fellowship specializing in Cardiology at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, California and Harbor/UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA.

After completing his Cardiology fellowship, Dr. Baker went on to complete an interventional fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Chicago Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.

After completing his Interventional fellowship in 1995, Dr. Baker practiced Invasive/Interventional Cardiology in Lakeland, Florida until 1998.

Dr. Baker then relocated back to California, and practiced Cardiology in the Sacramento area for about a year. In August of 1999, he joined Pacific Cardiovascular Associates and practices at our facility in and surrounding areas of Laguna Hills.

Dr. Baker is the Director of Invasive and Interventional Cardiology for Pacific Cardiovascular Associates and Anaheim Memorial Medical Center where he also serves as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Dr. Baker is certified as trainer for other Cardiologists in Advanced Interventional cardiology techniques beyond angioplasty such as Laser Atherectomy and Rotational Atherectomy. He is also is an active participant and leader in multiple physician education programs and is an active participant in Cardiology Best Practice teams to promote evidence-based medicine throughout California.

Dr. Baker was board-certified in Internal Medicine in 1990, in Cardiovascular Disease in 1997, and in Interventional Cardiology 1999.
